What is Habitudes Partagées?

Habitudes Partagées ("shared habits" in French) is a habit tracker app (iOS, Android and web) designed to make progress with the people you care about. You create your habits — daily, weekly, or with limits you don't want to exceed — and choose who to share them with. Your friends see your progress and encourage you, and you do the same for them. An AI-based Coach helps you create and adjust your habits using your real data. The app is made in France, ad-free and free to start.

The heart of the app

Move forward together, without going public

Not a public social network: only the people you choose. Partner, family, friends, coworkers, club — everyone has their own circle.

  • Friends in one link

Invite with a link or a QR code. When your friend accepts, you both get 10 credits.

  • Groups

Shared habits, group check-ins, a group chat and a group totem that grows with your efforts.

  • Daily Catch-up

Morning and evening, see what's new with your circle: who's shining today, who could use a boost.

  • Encouragement

Congratulate, cheer, support. A small gesture that makes everyone want to keep going.

The Coach

A Coach who knows your context

The Coach is powered by AI. No generic advice: it starts from your goal, your other habits and your inner weather.

  1. Create a habit by chatting

A few questions, and the Coach suggests a concrete first habit: frequency, duration, plan.

  2. Analyse your real data

It reads your check-ins, streak and frequency, then suggests one-tap adjustments — like adapting the frequency.

  3. Transparent

A "What the Coach knows about you" screen: everything is visible and erasable. The credit cost is shown before each analysis.

The Coach's suggestions are informational: not medical advice, not professional coaching.

Kindness first

A missed day is not a failure

No guilt-tripping, no ads. Just what you need to keep going.

  • The Guardian Joker

Missed a day? The Guardian can use its Joker to save your streak, for free. No punishment.

  • A growing totem

A living companion — a plant, to start with — that grows with your efforts, solo or as a group.

  • Pause

Need a breather? Pause your habits, with no reminders and no pressure, and resume whenever you want.

  • Zero ads

No ads and no cross-app ad tracking.

Everything you need

Complete tracking, zero fuss

  • Any frequency

Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or custom (e.g. 3 times a week).

  • Limit mode

Cap instead of ban: "screens max 1 h a day", "max 2 drinks a week". The app counts and tells you if you stayed within your limit.

  • Proof

Add a note, a photo or an audio clip to keep track (and share it if you like).

  • Catch-up

Forgot to check in yesterday? The app offers to catch up in the morning.

  • Inner weather

Your daily mood on a 5-level scale, a personal note and a yearly map.

  • Stats

Monthly reviews, trends, global and per-habit streaks, badges.

  • Reminders

Reminders at the right time, plus auto-check for obvious habits.

  • Android widget

Today's habits right on your home screen.

What research says

Why tracking together works

  • 76%

of participants who wrote down their goals and sent a weekly progress update to a friend achieved them, versus 43% of those who just kept them in mind.

Matthews (2007), Dominican University of California

  • ×2

When you make an effort alongside a partner whose progress you can see, persistence roughly doubles (the Köhler effect).

Irwin et al. (2012), Annals of Behavioral Medicine

  • A meta-analysis shows that monitoring your progress helps you reach your goals, especially when progress is recorded or shared.

Harkin et al. (2016), Psychological Bulletin

These studies are about tracking and social support in general, not about our app.

Privacy

You decide what you share

  • Private by default

Nobody sees what you don't share.

  • Habit by habit

Choose for each habit whether it's visible, and whether your mood is too.

  • Confidants

Your more personal notes, only for friends you mark as Confidants.

  • Your account, your call

Delete your account in 2 taps from the settings.

How does it work?

  1. Create your first habit

On your own or with the Coach, in a few questions.

  2. Invite your people

A link or a QR code is all it takes. Create a group if there are several of you.

  3. Move forward together

Check in, cheer each other on every day, and adjust when life changes.

What our users say

“You have to try Habitudes Partagées. I finally got into the habit of going to the gym regularly, just like I wanted!”

— Heather, 25

“Personally, it pushes me to keep the commitments I made to myself. I can see whether the others keep theirs, and congratulate them or, on the contrary, gently call them out. I feel a certain pride in showing the people I share with that I keep my commitments.”

— Colette, 63

Who is it for?

  • Couples

Going to bed earlier, cooking at home, less screen time in the evening.

  • Families

Reading, tidying, moving more: everyone has their own habits, everyone cheers.

  • Friends

A shared challenge, a group chat, and not wanting to let the others down.

  • Groups

Clubs, teams, workplace challenges: group check-ins motivate everyone.

What the app is not

  • A public social network: nothing is open, only the people you choose.
  • A medical app or a professional fitness coaching service.
  • A game that punishes you: one missed day shouldn't wipe everything out — that's what the Guardian Joker is for.
  • A "100% free" app with a catch: it's freemium, and we explain how.

Frequently asked questions

Is Habitudes Partagées free?

The app is free to start and has no ads. You get 200 credits when you sign up, then 5 credits every day you check in a habit. Credits are mainly used for the Coach. If you use it a lot, you can choose a subscription (€2.99 or €9.99 a month, no commitment) or a one-time pack.

Can I use it on my own?

Yes. You can start alone, with the Coach, and invite your people whenever you like. But the app is built for sharing — that's where it shines.

Who can see my habits?

Only friends you have accepted, and only what you choose to share. You set visibility habit by habit, and your more personal notes are only visible to your Confidants. Nothing is public.

How do I invite a friend or create a group?

Share your invitation link or let them scan your QR code. When your friend accepts, you both get 10 credits. You can then create a group with shared habits and a group chat.

Is the Coach an AI?

Yes, the Coach is powered by an AI model. It uses your data (goal, habits, inner weather) to suggest concrete actions. You can see and erase everything it knows about you, and the cost of each analysis is shown before you run it. Its suggestions are not a substitute for medical advice.

What happens if I miss a day?

Don't worry: the Guardian can use its Joker to save your streak for free. And if you simply forgot to check in, the app offers to catch up on yesterday in the morning.

Can I track a habit I want to limit, like screen time?

Yes, with limit mode: set a maximum (for example 1 hour of screens a day or 2 drinks a week), and the app counts and shows whether you stayed within it. It's a moderation tool, not a treatment.

Which devices does it work on?

iPhone, Android and in your browser (app.habitudes-partagees.fr). An internet connection is required. The app is available in English, French and Spanish.

How do I delete my account?

From the app settings, in 2 taps. Note: a subscription bought on the App Store or Google Play must be cancelled separately from your store.
